With the fate of countless lives on the line, it's up to you and your squad to conquer the enemy forces and emerge victorious. You'll get to know three of the most unforgettable characters in this thrilling tale of bravery and heroism:

- The knowledgeable but inexperienced Private Jim Becker, 20 years old, Baker Squad.

- The courageous and perceptive Sergeant Joe Ryder, 25 years old, 1st Platoon Leader, Able Squad.

From the shores of Morocco to Vichy-occupied villages and Special Operations Afrika Korps bases, you'll experience the Invasion of Rabat like never before in this heart-stopping game. Are you ready to embark on this unforgettable journey and make history? The stakes are high, and the clock is ticking - the world is counting on you to succeed. Engage in the battle and let nothing hold you back!

I really liked your game. You could launch bigger, paid projects.

Thank you so much! We will consider creating even bigger projects in the future!

cool game but if the guns had a bit more recoil it would be good and the healthbar  just reminds me so much about  games like Project IGI and Wolfenstien for early 2000s

Thank you very much!

Regarding the recoil, it was my fault for implementing random bullet deviation, so I had to reduce the recoil so it wouldn't feel too difficult to hit the enemy. I'll change that up for the new game

(+1)

THAT would be cool. and as for random bullet devitation you can add like if we fire the guns for long its bullets would not go in the hitbox but go random places like in games like  free fire etc.

(1 edit) (+1)

is it jank? yes, very. but it reminds me so much of mid-late 2000s fps games, like the raven wolfenstein game.
right down to the setup executable.

Thank you! We'll do our best to polish and reduce the jank level of our future games

The German Eagle is the current, todays German type. You would have to get one with a swastika gripped by the eagle to stand on. Secondly, the order paper on the wall is about a train driving to Paris at 1700. Infinitely fast shooting Kar98 soldiers á la Medal of Honor Pacific Assault.

The game is below PS2 level of quality. I can no be bad about it but I would strongly recommend making the game more basic -> gunplay wise and then mimic either MOH Allied Assault or Commandos Strike Force, since having a basic weapon system is easy - have a laser beam, then get spread reproduced based on other games et voilà !

Thanks for the criticism, we're sorry about the inaccuracies in the game with the eagles. The order about a train to Paris is a re-used asset from our first game put in as a fun little easter egg, but no one will probably figure it out since we've taken that game down a few months ago. The infinitely fast shooting Karabiner 98 is just a weird game design choice we made back then to balance out the difficulty.

It is probably too late to change the gameplay now, we stopped supporting the game 2 years ago :(

But thank you again for playing the game, it means a lot to us :Đ

(+1)

It's supposed to be PSX quality.

(+1)

really? i thought it had more of an "early 2000s pc game" vibe

(1 edit) (+1)

This game is very good I love the  cod 1 style, but if this game is based off it, then you need replenish health by medkits  so thats annoying but overall Pretty good game

Thank you so much for spending your valuable time playing our game. Your support and interest in the game are truly appreciated, and I'm grateful for the positive feedback you've given us. We are always striving to make the game better, and we hope to continue delivering fun and engaging experiences for you to enjoy :Đ

We understand the older health system is pretty much outdated by the latest game standards, but nostalgia couldn't be perfectly achieved without it ;D We probably will consider developing a game with auto-regen in the future, though!

(1 edit) (+1)

theres some bugs like in the third mission this german officer keeps killing me on the d day mission i died immediately and on the first joe ryder mission pistol was bugged for the first time and when i got the key to go outside theres no door you can open except the door you exit and also fix the ladders

hey devs i want to try and play this game but when i open the setup my antivirus says the setup is a virus so is that true?

Well, besides us making sure that the game is virus-free, thousands of people have also played this game before and no virus reports have been sent, it's safe to say it's completely safe :D

(Or else the game would've been removed years ago)

oh ok but when i open the game its says "Shellexecutefailed;code225"

(1 edit)

It's the antivirus program blocking the game from launching, this has never happened before.

If you want to disable your antivirus software to play the game, we will not take any responsibilities.

Good luck, I guess?

(+1)

oh ok thx

(+1)

You can just make a manual exception for the game in the antivirus program.

(+1)

really wanted to try this game but i will not start under my linux os with wine newest

I'm very sorry to hear that! But our game does not support the Linux OS even with emulation included.

There is a slightly complicated way to run it though, and it's to find a way to install DirectX9 on your computer, but it's not recommended (We will not take responsibilities if anything goes wrong).

(+1)

to bad and wine is not a emulator lol

i still support this game .. looks nice!

(+1)

Now it might work but the DX9VK plugin is really new, hot out of the oven like 1 or 2 months old - with first games running. No SteamDeck support bc needs manual installation.

beautiful game

i have a question? what game engine does it use

edit: i looked at game files and it looks like you are using fpscreator or gameguru  is it true?

Thank you very much!

And to answer your question, yes, we developed this project on FPS Creator with Black Ice Mod V12 installed.

(+1)

very nice work! <3

Thank you for the kind words! ;>

(1 edit) (+1)

to you for making the game, i love the classic medal of honor style, by the way how did you make the installer? I'm very interested because I'm making a little game with Unity ;P

Oh, the installer part is pretty easy, we used a free software called Inno Setup, the link is here: https://jrsoftware.org/isinfo.php

The software will guide you through how to create an installer for your game, good luck with your project!

(+1)

Awezomee, thank you very much, I wish success in your projects too <3

(+1)

Hey this is pretty amazing! Definitely gives me old school Call of Duty vibes. I think that there is certainly some rough edges to work out, but for what is presented I think you did a phenomenal job! Campaign, gunplay, setting, I think it all works well together and sells the idea pretty good. Love the work and can't wait to see what else you bring to the table!

(+1)

Thank you so much for the detailed review! We promise you that the next installment of the series would be even better with bug fixes & graphical improvements along with a more authentic setting for the campaign :Đ

(+1)

Nice game

(+1)

Thank you so much, sir.

(+1)

this game makes me think of BATTLEFIELD1942

the only difference is that ——you can't use Tanks

(1 edit) (+1)

This gives me FPS Creator vibes... I don't know if I like it or not

Edit: It is. It is made with FPS Creator

(1 edit)

It's all fine, sir, we all have different views on video games.

We're sorry if this game didn't meet your expectations :(

But if you like it, then that's great! :D

(+1)

One of the best indie WWII games. It has such a great retro vibe. Loved it.

Thank you so much for giving our game a try! Excuse us for the troublesome glitches you've encountered, you shall not see 'em in the franchise's later installments ;D

(+1)

Hey there again! I know I played like a month ago, but your game made it for my Top best games for this past month of October! Congrats!

(+1)

Thank you so much Zakaria!

It is such an honor to be featured in your October Top 3 :>

(+1)

Your Indiegala freebies page disabled the downloads. Apparently the file was corrupt? It wasn't up long enough for me to ever claim.

(1 edit)

I am so sorry, the download on Indiegala got corrupted for some reason, our team is figuring out how to solve this
Hopefully Desert Front will be available again on the site soon :>

(+1)

Hey there Warlines Studios, I had many thing to take care of and it has been slow for me working on these videos lately. I would love for a little bit of support like subscribing to my YouTube channel. I do say it is a good game and you will probably have some boost in the upcoming days for this one (I hope so). Some stuff need to be fixed here and there, but most important one is the loading and saving time (It lags and freezes the game for a bit each time). Here is the video for your game:

(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks a whole bunch for the boost too c:
We'll be supporting your channel!

(+1)

It is a really good game. Well done guys and thank you so much for the support.

(+1)

Hola!

(+1)

can u play with controller like xbox or ps4 controllers

We implemented support for XBOX controllers, but sadly not for Playstation ones (Due to technical reasons, nothing personal)

You just need to go to Options -> Input when you open up the launcher, there will be an XBOX Controller option that is set to "No" by default,  you should change it to "Yes" then click "Accept", and enjoy the game! :D

(+1)

if u have ps4 controller u can try ds4 its turns ur ps4 controller to xbox controller

(+1)

i really happy to hear this :)

(+1)

i have 1 request and i hope it will added and if you cant make it because it too hard just leave this idea i hope this game has a CO-OP mode :D

(+2)

Hey yo. THE GAME IS AWESOME!!! I am trying the D DAY DLC now! Wish it has more levels too.

Thanks so much for liking the game! It will receive a new update quite soon!

Don't forget to check out Lions on The Desert Front, the next installment of the series, you won't be disappointed!

(1 edit) (+1)

I enjoyed it! it reminds of the old COD games. I haven't finished the entire game, funny thing though if I was born back then the first mission would have been on my birthday lol! A few things that could make the game better though:

  • Making sprinting a wee bit faster. To me it feels like sprinting doesn't do much.
  • I found a bug, not sure how it happened but I fell through the map. I was checking doors in the town and went up to a door in the level "Under Heavy Fire" (Level 4) and I just fell to my death.
  • Sometimes the AI doesn't detect me, are they only able to detect you if your in view?

That's all I can think of at the moment, but over all 4/5!

Edit: I finished the first part pretty good!

(+1)

Hi there, thanks a lot for the review!

Desert Front will continue to receive updates, but unfortunately some of the listed glitches are issues related to the engine and might not get fixes soon. But worry not! It will receive a huge graphical and voice-overs update once Lions on The Desert Front gets a release date!

(+1)

Awesome!

(+1)

DX9? wow looks good for a DirectX 9 IMO

btw do you mind checking out my game? like I like WW2 so I made a cheap low budget WW2 game xD

https://yussufkhalil.itch.io/poor-mans-ww2-game

(+1)

Thanks for the nice words!

And I will definitely try your game out, I'm quite interested.

- Dan

(If possible I'll also leave a smol review :D)

(+1)

Np :D

Thanks hope you like my game!

(+1)

Thanks for making this game, I had a lot of fun playing it.  I am looking forward to any of your guys upcoming games.

Thanks for playing Ron! We assure you the new games will be even better!

(+1)

Seems a fun game but I can't find a way to rebind the melee key in the options and I can't see anything in the configuration files either. Maybe you don't need it much but there's no way I can stick with using the alt key. Am I missing something?

(+1)

We'll get it changed to "V"

The key can't be rebound unfortunately, kinda complicated to explain.

But we're glad that you enjoyed the game!

(1 edit)

Ah cool, thanks. The game also crashes to the launcher menu when you melee while jumping, but still had fun playing this old school fps. I like the basic proto Return to Castle Wolfenstein feel. Did I hear a couple of RtCW sound effects sneaked in here? Ammo pickups?

(2 edits) (+1)

This game took a lot of inspiration from those classic titles, sounds included :D But that's not the actual sound from RTCW, it just sounds the same

(+1)

Ok games

Thanks for the comment!

I have one problem, that at the start, with every interaction (for example talking I gotta save and reload so I can move, because after an interaction I cant move

(+1)

If you're experience this in the first mission where you get guided through the tutorial, don't worry, the movement is locked for 2 seconds whenever you get instructions on how to play, so you just need to wait for around 2-3 seconds and then you can continue moving as normal :)

(+1)

Ah, okay, thank you ^-^

I can't get it to start. I got the app to open, but can't get the game itself to launch.

(+1)

You should try turning off Post Processing in the options. If that doesn't work, try opening a file in the game folder called "setup.ini" and copy paste this line into it, somewhere blank: "systemmemorycapoff=1"

Hello there! We found the problem, you need DirectX 9 installed on your computer to be able to play, sorry for the inconvenience!

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429

(+1)

Good old shooter))) But there are bugs. I wanted to go all the way, but I couldn't. Add hints. Well done!!!

Thank you! It seems that you got stuck in Mission 2, you actually came across the last door but you forgot to check it :D
